Feller has created a series of digitalized and customized 4" x 6" post cards. She begins with vintage postcards and then adds images from the contemporary world. Unlike most painters today, Goodwin makes his own paint from polymer emulsions, dried pigments and various additives including marble dust and silica. Each piece has an average of 40 layers of paint that have been sanded as they accumulate. Potter and sculptor Chris Gustin, one of the founders of Watershed Center for Ceramics, will be the featured guest artist for the weekend that includes a benefit dinner, demonstration, gallery preview and reception and tour of local studios. Proceeds from the events help support the ceramics program that provides work space, classes, demonstrations and workshops at IS183 Art School in Stockbridge.
